BLOG POST NUMBER 8

Reading
I loved the reading because its reminded me of what just happened in Egypt. The writer talked about wondering if Americans could ever embrace the concept of non violence as the effective and powerful instrument of social reform. I still wake up in the morning wondering if it was a dream or reality. Now libya and other countries are trying to follow. Social reform can only truly work if it comes from the bottom up, it has to start from the street level.  Weather it was following them on twitter, Facebook or calling up relatives that I have in Egypt. The experience has been thrilling and a bit uneasy, but one thing is for sure. I will never look at non violence reform the same way again.

We are going to finish filming within two weeks. A lot of things have been going our way, our trailer looks really good and it helped us really focus on the main points that we want to show in our documentary. Also we got a lot of people lined up for interviews from the community, many people are showing support and are even offering help in any form possible. This shows that this issue was as suspected something that needs to be talked about. My hopes is that it will give them the voice they are looking for.

down side its that could be scary at the same time, like the other day some one told us that they could not  wait to see it. That pressure from the community and all my peers telling me to put certain points in the documentary. Thats really hard and now it seems like I don't think the fifteen minuets is going to be enough to cover the topic entirely.
