Reading;
I learned that interviews are the heart of a documentary and that its not has easy has it seems. Main points to remember
Who itnerviews;
Important and based on what your trying to get out of the interview. Does the person ask open ended questions or questions that give certain answers that one is looking for. All of that needs to be taken into consideration
Types of situations,
where you shoot is also very important, for example one would not want to interview what is expected to be someone who is going to talk about a sensitive issue or even personal in like an busy outside setting.
Places that you interview can be a tool and part of your whole picture as interms of your doc
Preparation and basic skills;
Basic skills on the etiquette of how to ask questions/interview someone should be known
Setting people at ease;
you want the person you interview to feel confortable or they will never not only open up but also give you the least they can offer
Frame or not to frame questions;
your questions are important and should be direct your QUESTIONS should not BE made up on the spot you should be prepared.
How our group is doing;

Blog post number
This week as been all about growth and more of the breaking down barriers to with my partners really. I had alot of question that I had to answer. Every week they are becoming more and more mentally aware of the subject matter and understanding it in depth. The thing that stood out to me the most this week was when we were presenting I think a lot of people asked really good questions and I already feel like it’s a totally different informant for me in the voices classroom. I think by making something that is different about me and familiarizing it and sharing it really opens opportunity for a better community.
As for the technical stuff, we got together and made an outline and planner of what we were going to do for the next two months. I still remember what happened with our spa last time and it was all do to the lack of planning this time I don’t want to be in that predicament.
PART TWO
REASEACRH:
I learned that research is really important to make a really good documentary. It is also a step that most people tend to undermined. In the article it showed 3 main key concepts.
Curiosity;
Is like the engine, you need it to fulfill the rest of the key concepts. Without it there is a lack of energy and one will have little motivation to perfect his/her work. It also talks about questions that people could ask themselves.
Quantity Vs Quality;
Talks about the better the research the better the Quality and there is no use of have Quantity if there is no Quality. BEST to have both.
Strategy;
Same as game plan once you have one and two in place you will need to order and place them. As in the story line/ story board. Where to look and REASOURCES!!! Not forgetting setting up the interviews ect....

Blog number two
Reflection on documentary process;
What we accomplished thus far;
we accomplished alot. We already have about two hours video done. We did a lot of experiments as well, we also have all our interviewers in line. We started early and hope to finish early.
What was challengeing;
Well we ran into a lot of challenging one of them was how to have the camera at the right times. for the experiment that we did it was crucial for us to get a lot of the comments said or the responses with out anyone having to alter their statements because of the camera. Also because of the fact that it was kind of a personal topic it was kind of emotional at times.
What has worked well;
Their were a lot of things that also worked really well, I was moved by Cage's bravery for doing what she did and it was also inspiring because besides some of the negative comments their were a few that really made my day and even surprised me and her. That is what i think i want our video to be about.
Are we working together;
heck YEAH!!! it is going really well
what needs to change and how can we change it
well as for know we need to start thinking about exactly what our message is going to be, it seems like the documentary is making itself into what ever it whats to. We need to cut out a lot of stop make is smaller but and more focused.

What did I learn;
I learned that seeing is not always believing, while you don't have to see to believe. I think reading teaches us what a documentary is or what it is not. However this question cant necessarily be answered because of the fact of how is the one who gets to decide what is a documentary or not. A documentary and "like" a documentary are too close to each other in meaning because if its like a documentary so it must have the basic format of a documentary. I don't know its hard to explain but understood the logic behind it. The part about the begging of the invention of movies also helped to explain that what is defined today is meant to be broken tomorrow.
